Every year, Umbrella produces a Salary Survey, a long-standing resource developed over more than 25 years for the child care community. The survey provides data on staff salaries, parent fees, and key workplace statistics, helping centres stay informed about current compensation levels and operating trends.
The goal of the survey is simple: to answer the most common questions in the child care field—what others are charging, paying, and earning. By gathering real data from participating centres, the survey presents a realistic picture of the industry.
This information is valuable for centres, Boards of Directors, and administrators when setting fees and determining staff salaries. It is also a useful reference for parents inquiring about local child care costs, as well as for E.C.E. graduates looking to establish realistic salary expectations.
Survey results are provided to all participating centres and are available to others for $100. As the accuracy of the survey depends entirely on community participation, your contribution is essential.
